How do I replace the filter on my CrewProtect Mini?
The CrewProtect 20 uses a replaceable cartridge located on the back side of the unit. Unlike the larger CrewProtect 100, this version has a simpler design and requires no tools to replace the cartridge. Proper installation ensures that the unit’s onboard RFID sensor activates the system.
Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Power Off the Unit (Recommended)
-
While not strictly necessary, powering down the unit before handling is a good practice to avoid false sensor readings.

 -
 -
Remove the Old Cartridge
-
Locate the two tabs—one on each end of the cartridge.
 -
Press both tabs in and gently pull the cartridge straight out.
 -
Dispose of the used cartridge as regular trash.

 -
 -
Unpack the New Cartridge
-
Remove the cartridge from its packaging.
 -
Locate the RFID sensor tag (typically indicated by a label or embossed section).

 -
 -
Install the New Cartridge
-
Orient the RFID tag toward the bottom of the unit.
 -
Insert the cartridge and push until you hear it click into place.

 -
 -
Power On and Verify
-
Turn on the unit.
 -
All lights should flash briefly, followed by a steady blue light, which indicates successful RFID recognition and normal operation.
