# How do I connect a Flex monitor to the SmartPlex app?

## Connect your Flex Monitor to the TFT SmartPlex App via Bluetooth to unlock programming, service, and control functions. This guide walks you through scanning for nearby devices, pairing with your monitor, and accessing the Monitor Hub for full functionality.

Before you can program, operate, or service your Flex Monitor through the TFT SmartPlex App, you need to pair your device over Bluetooth. This process takes just a few seconds and gives you access to the Monitor Hub and any connected accessories.

### Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Enable Bluetooth and Launch the App

     - Open the SmartPlex App on your mobile device.
     - Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
2. Scan for Nearby Devices

     - On the opening screen of the app, you should see a list of available devices.
     - If your Flex Monitor does not appear, tap Scan to refresh the device list.
3. Select and Connect to Your Monitor

     - Identify your monitor by its serial number and device name.
     - Tap Connect next to the correct listing.
     - Once paired, the app will display a confirmation, and a blue LED will light up on the side of the Flex Monitor’s electronics hub.
4. Access Connected Devices

     - Tap Explore Connected Devices in the app.
     - You'll see the monitor’s serial number and any linked accessories (e.g., controllers, VUMs, extended guns).
5. Select the Device for Operation

     - Tap the serial number of the device you want to interact with.
     - The app will display system information including circuit board revision, voltage, and available features.
6. Enter the Monitor Hub

     - Tap Options to enter the Monitor Hub for the selected device.
     - From here, you can operate, program, and service your monitor.
