How do you adjust the relief valve on my Ball Intake Valve and how do you tell which pressure it is set?

Learn how to adjust the relief valve on a Ball Intake Valve. Turn the screw until the desired pressure marking is flush—out to lower, in to raise pressure.

There are pressures marked around the perimeter of the housing. Turn the screw in or out until the step that has the pressure you desire is flush with the face of the part that turns. Out lowers the pressure, in raises it.

If you need to adjust your pressure relief valve, the process is very simple.

Tools Needed:

  • ¼" allen wrench

Adjusting the PRV

  1. Line the allen wrench up with the center key on the bottom of the PRV
  2. Turn the center plug until it is calibrated to the desired setting

Reminders:

  • Do not use a spanner wrench to adjust the PRV
  • Do not adjust or remove the plug near the PRV
